DrDazz Coffee - The Sweet Brazilian #2
The Sweet Brazilian #2 exhibits the classic chocolate and nut flavours of Brazilian coffees with some playful twists. Dr Dazz enjoys it as a straight black coffee, savouring it's thick heavy body and mild acidity but marvelling at it's subtleties and complexity. Some people have reported notes of candied lime and tropical fruits. If you prefer to drink it with milk, you'll notice the naturally high sweetness and boldness that you would expect from a single origin coffee from Brazil.
The original Sweet Brazilian sold out surprisingly fast and we can't currently source any more. However, Dr Dazz loved the idea of having a Brazilian single origin coffee so he chatted to the people at Settlement roasters and realised he was already using a Brazilian bean in the DrDazz Seasonal Blend.
Thus was born The Sweet Brazilian #2. A single origin coffee using beans ethically sourced direct from the farmer, Luiz Paulo Filho, in Brazil, roasted in Adelaide, South Australia by Settlement.
When Luiz Paulo’s grandfather died, in recognition of his career and trajectory, his family decided he should inherit the coffee farm called Sítio Senhor Niquinho, which was actually his grandfather’s nickname. Located at an altitude of about 1100 m and with an annual rainfall average between 1250 and 1400 mm, Sr. Niquinho has native forests, riparian woods around and water sources, which are fully preserved. The coffees grown there are processed in Irmãs Pereira farm due to closeness of the properties and the large processing capacity of Irmãs Pereira.
